
Ben Patrick Effiong
Ben Patrick Effiong holds a BA (First Class Honors) in Philosophy from the University of Calabar. He is a member of the Conversational School of Philosophy (CSP), and a researcher at the University of Calabar. Ben is a radical critic and responsive intellectual revolutionary whose research interests spans the field of African Philosophy, Conversational Ethics, Ethics of AI, Philosophy of Science and Responsive Educational Models. An avid reader, writer, education activist, award winning poet and debate champion, he was selected in 2017 to serve as one of the pioneering TeachSDGs Ambassadors by the UN Global Goals Education Task Force for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria, as a result of his advocacy for the SDGs through an educational nonprofit organization (Responsive Education Movement) he founded in 2015. Besides being a philosopher, debater and professional public speaker, Ben is also a trained Human Resource manager. He hopes to use education to build a peaceful and sustainable society.
